Virtual High School @ PWCS Fall 2009 Session Calendar

Session Dates: September 14 – January 25

ONLINE Registration: August 14 – September 11

•	Registration is on a space available basis - some courses fill quickly - register early!
•	Courses may be canceled if there are fewer than 5 students enrolled.
•	Tuition must be paid in full before the course begins. Details available on our website.

Orientation:
The Program orientation is online and runs: Wednesday September 9 through Sunday September 13. All students must take the online orientation and pass the assessments with 100%. Students can access the orientation anytime during these dates.

In person first day of school (Course orientation) Monday September 14th 3:30 - 5:30 - Battlefield High School Auditorium (15000 Graduation Dr., Haymarket, VA 20169). If a student cannot attend the course orientation in person on 9/14, they must login on that day and complete the assignments from home. It is recommended that the student complete the first day at BHS with their online instructor in person.

Last Date for Drop/Refund: September 28th

End First Marking Period: October 12th

Holiday: November 11

Midterm Exam: Monday November 9th - 3:30 pm. PHOTO ID REQUIRED
Location: Instructor's Base School – must complete Midterm Survey

Holiday: November 26-27

End Third Marking Period: December 14

Holiday: December 24-January 3

SOL Exam: Students take the SOL at their base school.
All students in SOL courses are required to schedule their exam with their base school counselor and or test coordinator.

Holiday: January 18

Final Exam: Monday January 25th - 3:30 pm PHOTO ID REQUIRED
Location: Instructor’s Base School - must complete End of Course Survey

Final grades will be submitted to the base school registrar approximately one week after the end of the course.
