Virtual High School @ PWCS Spring 2009 Session Calendar

Session Dates: Weds. February 4 – Monday June 1

ONLINE Registration: January 12 – January 31.

•	Registration is on a space available basis - some courses fill quickly - register early!
•	Courses may be canceled if there are fewer than 5 students enrolled.
•	Tuition must be paid in full before the course begins. Details available on our website.

	Orientation:
	The Program orientation is online and runs: Friday January 30 through Wednesday February 4. All students must take the online orientation and pass the assessments with 100%. Students can access the orientation anytime during these dates. In person first day of school (Course orientation) Wednesday February 4th 3:30 - 5:30 - Battlefield High School Auditorium (15000 Graduation Dr., Haymarket, VA 20169) If a student cannot attend the course orientation in person on 2/4, they must login on that day and complete the assignments from home. It is recommended that the student complete the first day at BHS with their online instructor in person.

Last Date for Drop/Refund:            February 18th

End First Marking Period:               March 4th

NOTE: THERE IS NO SPRING BREAK IN THE VHS - YOU SHOULD PLAN ON COMPLETING YOUR ONLINE ASSIGNMENTS THAT WEEK OR WORK AHEAD!!

First Semester Exam:                      Wednesday April 1st - 3:30 pm. PHOTO ID REQUIRED
                                                                Location: Instructor's Base School – must complete Midterm Survey

End Third Marking Period:             April 29

SOL Exam: (May) Students take the SOL at their base school.
All students in SOL courses are required to schedule their exam with their base school counselor and or test coordinator.

HOLIDAY:                                          Monday May 25th

Final Exam:                                       Monday June 1st - 3:30 pm    PHOTO ID REQUIRED
                                                             Location: Instructor’s Base School - must complete End of Course Survey

Final grades will be submitted to the base school registrar approximately one week after the end of the course.
